The BCWMC's Schaper Pond Diversion Water Quality Project Featured on Channel 5 and Channel 12 News

Mon, Apr 4, 2016

On March 28 KSTP Channel 5 News highlighted the BCWMC's Schaper Pond Capital Improvement Project in Golden Valley and the positive water quality impacts the project is anticipated to provide to Sweeney Lake.

Channel 12 News featured the project the same week, interviewing BCWMC Administrator Laura Jester and City of Golden Valley Water Resources Technician Tom Hoffman about the project's floating baffle. The baffle placed in Schaper Pond will prevent up to 81 to 150 pounds of phosphorous from entering Sweeney Lake each year.
